Sarah Catherine Golden Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor-in-Training, a professional with expertise in counseling and therapy services, providing compassionate care and guidance to clients.

Therapist Sarah Catherine Golden

My work as a therapist includes providing support with creating meaning rather than feeling stuck searching for it, naming and shifting internal narratives, and identifying the tensions that result when our values and behaviors do not align. As we move through life, our relationships with ourselves and others inevitably change; naturally these transitions are not always smooth or comfortable. I aim to help my clients see themselves in the larger contexts and systems in which we all collectively exist, to externalize and de-pathologize perceived individual challenges, and to deepen relational connections.

Assistant Clinical Director, Supervising LPC

It is crucial that our work together be centered on your needs, beliefs, background, and culture(s). We cannot fully envision where we would like to go without solidly acknowledging where we come from, and there is no homogenized way to do this. I most prefer collaborative and transparent work and seek to create space for and work with whatever you choose to bring into our sessions.

I recognize and honor diversity and inclusion in my life and work. I am a part of the LGBTQIA2+ community and am happy to support trans and gender nonconforming humans with gender-affirming care, including letters of support. I am sex and kink positive, supportive of all relational styles, and am allied with sex workers. Social justice and mental health are inextricable to me, and my work as a therapist is and will always be rooted in the principles of accessibility and equity. With that said, I recognize my privilege as a white, able-bodied clinician and am committed to ongoing anti-racist and anti-oppression education and practices.

I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2018 from Vermont State University, and I have been working in mental health and social justice since 2015 in Vermont, Los Angeles, and Oregon. I also have photojournalism, studio, and fine art backgrounds and am a published writer and editor. I have additional degrees in anthropology, sociology, and art and am internationally certified to teach English as a foreign language. I have lived in the US, several countries in Western Europe, and Mexico, and completed portions of my graduate studies in Nicaragua, Ireland, and Russia. As such, pluralism and multiculturalism are built into and inform my theories and methodologies.

I am formally and comprehensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Art Therapy and facilitation. I have specialized training in sex therapy, as well as in working with people with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, ADHD, and autism. I have also spent all of my career working with individuals with dual diagnoses of intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and mental health disorders. Based on the treatment plan you and I devise, we will mutually decide how to best point you toward your goals and what interventions feel most appropriate. I am most passionate about postmodern and existential humanistic theories and practices, and I also use psycho-education and practical skill-building in my work, as both are empowering and help to dismantle divisive power dynamics in counseling relationships. Humor, authenticity, creativity, and sincerity are indispensable to who I am and how I work.

I am a Licenced Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon (C7242) and am a Clinical Supervisor on the Oregon candidate registry, and I must follow mandated reporting laws as per state regulations. At times I may seek consultation and supervision regarding particular situations or as I seek out continuing education. Information regarding the limitations to confidentiality will be provided to clients on an ongoing basis.

Nichelle Taylor Licensed Professional Counselor Registered Associate, a professional with expertise in counseling and therapy services, providing compassionate care and guidance to clients.

Therapist Nichelle Taylor

Greetings! My name is Nichelle Taylor (she/her/hers). I am a Registered Associate working towards becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) with the National Board of Certified Counselors. I am originally from Colorado, though the magic of the Pacific Northwest drew me to Eugene! Navigating this world can be challenging, exhausting, and confusing; it can also be exciting, rewarding, and fulfilling.

LPC Registered Associate

As a counselor, I am committed to helping you forge the path toward your goals and find your way to peace and healing. Sometimes, this may look like working through interpersonal challenges, improving communication skills, learning to honor yourself and your experiences, or unpacking traumas from the past that still weigh on you. No matter what your journey looks like, the most incredible part of transformation is the dedication to yourself. Just coming to therapy is an act of self-love!

I am so happy you have taken the courageous step to pursue counseling. Everyone has a story—a narrative of their life that has led them to this moment. It is a true honor when someone shares their story with me, and I am eager to listen and help you write your next chapter. Therapy is a unique experience for each person who walks through the door, and I believe you are the expert of your own life. My intention is to validate your experiences and encourage you to discover more about yourself while reminding you to extend grace to yourself along the way.

I will walk alongside you on this journey, encouraging you to continue taking steps forward, even when it’s difficult. I truly believe resilience, growth, and healing are possible when you have a safe space to explore your emotions. My therapeutic approach is holistic, considering the personal, psychosocial, and cultural aspects that impact you. To find out what works best for you, we must understand the full context of your life and identities. I strive to create a warm, open, and nonjudgmental space for you to explore your patterns and experience yourself fully.

Guided by the principles of Person-Centered, Compassion-Focused, and Narrative approaches, my goal as a therapist is to empower individuals on their path to holistic well-being. I draw from various counseling theories and therapeutic approaches, including Internal Family Systems, Trauma-Informed Care, and Attachment Theory, to best support clients in achieving their goals.

I hold a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). The CACREP-accredited program at UCCS provided training in individual counseling with adults, adolescents, and children, play therapy, group counseling, couples and family counseling, and comprehensive instruction in psychopathology, crisis and trauma work, addiction treatment, and motivational interviewing.

Rose Carwile Licensed Professional Counselor, a professional with expertise in counseling and therapy services, providing compassionate care and guidance to clients.

Therapist Rose Carwile

I’m genuinely excited about the prospect of working with you on your journey of healing and growth. Together, I believe we can create meaningful change and contribute positively to developing a life worth living. My professional journey is rooted in a deep passion for multiculturalism and advocacy for marginalized communities. I am a dedicated Marriage and Family Therapist, and my approach is enriched by a systems perspective. My academic background includes a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Licensed Professional Counselor

I also pursued advanced studies at the University of Louisiana, where I explored the dynamics of supervision between African American therapists and White supervisors for my ABD in Marriage and Family Therapy. Although my dissertation remains a work in progress, my path has led me in new and exciting directions.

My work with you is based on a systemically oriented family therapy model with an emphasis on cultural diversity. Whenever possible, I seek to work with the entire family unit while simultaneously providing individual services to you. As a therapist who works with individuals and families, I take into consideration the complexity of your cultural identity development, which includes ability, gender, race, sexual orientation, preferred gender expression, and any other category of difference that you deem important.

In addition, I use a strength-based model that emphasizes your positive attributes, helping you to understand what is working in your life while simultaneously attempting to build resources to support you in the less productive areas of your life.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Oregon (T2308), and I must follow mandated reporting laws as per state regulations. At times, I may seek consultation and supervision regarding particular situations or as I pursue continuing education. Information regarding the limitations to confidentiality will be provided to clients on an ongoing basis.

Andy Duffield Licensed Professional Counselor Registered Associate, a professional with expertise in counseling and therapy services, providing compassionate care and guidance to clients.

Therapist Andrew Duffield

Have you ever felt that life isn’t going the way you planned and despite your best efforts, things never seem to improve? I know I have. I spent years trying to manage on my own, but it wasn’t until I sought help that my outlook on life began to shift. As someone who was a late adopter of counseling, I understand firsthand how challenging it can be to admit you need support and the courage it takes to ask for it. I commend you for taking this important step towards a better life, and I look forward to supporting you on this journey.

LPC Registered Associate

I believe that within each of us lies the power to change and become the person we aspire to be. No matter where you are in life, everyone deserves to find peace and acceptance. As a result, I am passionate about honoring diversity and committed to being inclusive, ensuring that every client feels respected and valued. To achieve this, I provide a judgment-free space where we can explore your emotions, motivations, and desires, and work through life’s challenges together.

I use a client-centered approach, integrating techniques from psychoanalytic, person-centered, and solution-focused therapies, as well as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical- behavioral therapy (DBT) skills. My goal is to help you build resilience, develop coping strategies, and unlock your potential. There is no one-size-fits-all in counseling so I aim to find the right therapeutic modalities for you, tailoring the experience based on your individual therapy goals.

I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, and have had the privilege of working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief, anger, trauma, substance abuse, and end-of-life concerns. My nearly 30 years of work in other fields, along with my own life experiences, have enriched my perspective and deepened my understanding of my client’s concerns, helping us connect in ways that are genuine, supportive, empathetic, and empowering.

I am a Registered Associate currently working towards earning my Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential. I practice under the supervision of a licensed professional and adhere to the LPC code of ethics, and mandatory reporting requirements. To ensure I provide the best possible support, there may be occasions when I seek supervision or consultation. In such cases, I will keep you informed about any confidentiality limitations.

Scott Broussard Licensed Professional Counselor Registered Associate, a professional with expertise in counseling and therapy services, providing compassionate care and guidance to clients.

Therapist Scott Broussard

Welcome! My name is Scott and I truly believe in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship. I know the difficulty of reaching out to begin or continue in this journey of healing, understanding, and strength, so know the fact that you are reading this is a wonderful step in a positive direction. My goal with all clients who decide to see me is to hold a safe, accepting, and non-judgmental space, a place that gives you the ability to be present with your own thoughts, feelings, emotions, and words. A place where you are able to learn how to feel a sense of agency in your own life. I believe we all have the power within us to heal and grow, and I will be there as your trusted guide to be there with you as you traverse the ups and downs of this journey.

LPC Registered Associate

I hold a Master of Science Degree in Counseling with a concentration in Career and College Counseling from San Francisco State University and I am rooted in a humanistic, person centered, trauma informed, and a biopsychosocial lens. I frame my work from the theoretical perspectives of systems theory and multicultural counseling theory, understanding that we are all a part of multiple systems in this world and hold many cultural identities; racial, ethnic, ability, religious, sexual orientation, gender identity and all of the intersectionality that occurs between our identities. And because of this, there is no one singular approach to working with clients, we are all each unique individuals which will make each therapeutic relationship unique and our road to wherever the journey takes us unique as well.

This is a second career for me, the Part II of my life’s work, with Part I being 14 years of working in higher education, mostly in the realm of academic and career counseling. Those years bring me a unique perspective on the impact of how the world of work can also be the root of many mental health issues and stressors in our lives. The other piece that I bring with me from those years is a deep sense of curiosity in people and the world. And that curiosity is extended to all who come to see me, I am curious about you, your story, your experiences, and I will meet you right where you are. I thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little bit and I very much look forward to getting to know you and working together on your path to living the life you envision for yourself.

I am currently a registered and practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (R10195). I am pursuing licensure under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. I follow the LPC code of ethics and am required to follow mandatory reporting laws in Oregon. At times I may seek supervision or consultation and will provide information regarding the limits to confidentiality on an ongoing basis.

Outside of therapy, I actively advocate for mental health awareness and the de-stigmatization of addiction. I deeply value the role of self-care and community in the journey toward emotional health and well-being.

Elise Colasurdo Licensed Professional Counselor Registered Associate, a professional with expertise in counseling and therapy services, providing compassionate care and guidance to clients.

Therapist Elise Colasurdo

I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship as a vehicle for achieving wellness and healing. I use the biopsychosocial model for a holistic view of my clients unique lived experience and biological expression. I align strongly with a person-centered approach to counseling in which the client is the expert on their own life and my role as the clinician is to foster self-exploration and deepen understanding of self. Some therapeutic modalities I use are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.

LPC Registered Associate

I hold a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Bushnell University.
